If you’ve got a passion for voiceover, you’re in the right place. This is a fun and rewarding career, but it requires more than just a good voice and a microphone to succeed. To really succeed, you’ll need to develop your voice acting chops, learn the business side, and get comfortable with the tech stuff, too. That’s where UVT Coaching comes in.
We offer several training paths based on where you are in your journey—and where you want to go. If you're brand new and just getting started, our Big Kahuna program is the perfect fit. It’s our most popular course for beginners because it covers everything you need to launch your voiceover career. You’ll learn performance skills, mic technique, how to set up your recording space, how to market yourself—and you’ll walk away with two professionally produced demos that showcase your range and style.
Thinking about animated characters? We’ve got you covered there, too. We can help you create original characters that are tailor-made for cartoons, video games, and more.
All sessions are held live over Zoom, and your demos will be recorded either from your home setup or a professional studio near you. At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a full breakdown of the Big Kahuna curriculum, along with details about our other available training programs.

World Famous Big Kahuna Curriculum
We have outlined our most popular option for the new voiceover business owner below. However, we offer customization on all of our programs and would love to talk to you about how we can meet your specific needs as a voiceover talent and business owner.

Sessions 1-3: Script Analysis and Performance
One of the coaches from our team will work with you on your delivery and interpretation of commercial or narration voiceover scripts.
Session 4: Voiceover Recording and Home Studio Setup
In this session, Terry or Rob will help you assess the best recording options for your particular situation…whether you’re just getting started, or looking for ways to get your current setup to professional audio standards. He’ll show you that a very workable solution can be made in a very cost-conscious way. Audio quality matters, but achieving pro-level audio quality doesn’t have to break the bank or require you to study sound design.

Session 5-7: Script Analysis and Performance
In these three sessions, we'll get back to working on your delivery and interpretation of both commercial and narration voiceover scripts.

Session 8: Voiceover Marketing with Terry
In this session, Terry will provide you with some integrated strategies for your voiceover business! He will give you the information you need to make sure your demos are heard, so you can start booking work!

Session 9: Demo Preparation
In this session, you will work with your coach to rehearse your demo scripts! Be prepared with any questions you have regarding your upcoming in-studio experience.

Finale: It's Demo Day!
This will be your voiceover demo session in a recording studio or via your home recordings setup! Your coach will direct you live via phone patch or Zoom.
Saturday Group Classes (With Terry)
Group classes take place twice a month. Every other class is a script class, while the others include topics like recording, auditioning, marketing and many more! Most classes take place Saturday mornings with an occasional weekday evening. All group classes are recorded so if you can't make all of them, you can always watch and listen on the private "student-only" YouTube channel! The YouTube channel also features helpful training modules. You'll have access to this channel as part of your program!
Voiceover Coaching sessions take place via Zoom!
