Are you passionate about starting a career in voiceovers? It’s an amazing and rewarding job that requires more than just sitting and reading in front of a microphone. You need to learn the craft of voice acting to be successful, but you also need to have a head for business and be somewhat tech-savvy. That’s where we come in!
At UVT Coaching, we offer several different courses depending on your skill level and desired outcome. For example, if you are new to the field and just starting up your voiceover business, we have classes specifically designed for beginners. These introductory courses will teach you everything from basic performance skills to microphone techniques and marketing your business. And if you're interested in animation, we can show you how to create characters for cartoons or video games. We also provide courses for working professionals who want to freshen up their demos.
All coaching sessions take place via Zoom, and the demos will be recorded from your home recording setup or an offsite studio.

Big Kahuna

World-famous Big Kahuna Curriculum
We have outlined our most popular option for the new voiceover business owner below. However, we offer customization on all of our programs and would love to talk to you about how we can meet your specific needs as a voiceover talent and business owner.
Sessions 1-3: Script Analysis and Performance
One of the coaches from our team will work with you on your delivery and interpretation of commercial or narration voiceover scripts.
Session 4: Voiceover Recording and Home Studio Setup
In this session, Jan will help you assess the best recording options for your particular situation…whether you’re just getting started, or looking for ways to get your current setup to professional audio standards. He’ll show you that a very workable solution can be made in a very cost-conscious way. Audio quality matters, but achieving pro-level audio quality doesn’t have to break the bank or require you to study sound design.
Session 5-7: Script Analysis and Performance
In these three sessions, we'll get back to working on your delivery and interpretation of both commercial and narration voiceover scripts.
Session 8: Voiceover Marketing with Trish
In this session, Trish will provide you with a 90-minute video and then discuss with you some integrated strategies for your voiceover business! She will give you the information you need to make sure your demos are heard, so you can start booking work!
Session 9: Demo Preparation
In this session, you will work with your coach to rehearse your demo scripts! Be prepared with any questions you have regarding your upcoming in-studio experience.
Finale: It's Demo Day!
This will be your voiceover demo session in a recording studio or via your home recordings setup! Your coach will direct you live via phone patch or Zoom.
Saturday Group Classes (With Terry)
Group classes take place twice a month. Every other class is a script class, while the others include topics like recording, auditioning, marketing and many more! Most classes take place Saturday mornings with an occasional weekday evening. All group classes are recorded so if you can't make all of them, you can always watch and listen on the private "student-only" YouTube channel! The YouTube channel also features helpful training modules. You'll have access to this channel as part of your program!
Voiceover Coaching sessions take place via Zoom!

When it comes time to start your website, we'll send you a website questionnaire, just to get some basic ideas on preferred colors, designs, domain, etc. Clients want to a hire a professional. In today's industry, an integral part of success to your business is having an SEO optimized, user friendly, professional website.
