UVT Home Recording Workshop: Better Audio, Better Voiceovers!
A great voiceover performance deserves great audio. But you don't need an audio engineering degree to make that happen!
Join Terry Daniel and Rob Marley, along with a few guest audio engineers, for the UVT Home Recording Workshop, a special 90-minute live Zoom session designed to help voice actors improve their home recording skills!
Whether you're brand-new to voiceover or have been recording from home for years, understanding your equipment, recording environment, and audio software can make a tremendous difference in your finished product.
And don't worry. We're going to explain everything in plain English, not bury you in technical jargon that makes your head spin!
🎧 What Will We Cover?
During this interactive workshop, we'll explore:
Microphones and Audio Interfaces: Choosing the right equipment and understanding how it works.
Room Acoustics: Improving your recording environment without spending a fortune.
Recording Levels and Microphone Technique: Capturing clean, consistent audio.
Adobe Audition and Audacity: Understanding the basics of recording and editing software.
Audio Editing and EQ: Cleaning up recordings and improving vocal clarity.
Vocal Processing Chains: An introduction to compression, EQ, and other tools that can enhance your recordings.
Creating a Professional-Sounding Spec Spot: We'll walk you through the process of producing a spec spot you can use to market yourself to potential voiceover clients!
Our goal is simple: Help you become more comfortable with the technical side of voiceover so you can spend more time delivering great performances!
🎙️ Small Group. Big Learning Experience!
We're limiting this workshop to 20 participants because we believe smaller classes create a better learning environment. You'll have opportunities to ask questions, interact with our instructors, and get practical advice tailored to the challenges voice actors face when recording from home.
